Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Shop Manager to oversee the daily operations of our farm shop. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a passion for customer service, and the ability to manage a small team. As a Shop Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring that the shop runs smoothly, providing an exceptional shopping experience for our customers. The ideal candidate will have knowledge of the health food sector. Plant sales knowledge would also be an added advantage.

Responsibilities

Supervise and lead a team of staff members, fostering a positive and productive work environment. Manage daily operations, including inventory management, merchandising, and sales strategies. Ensure high standards of customer service are maintained at all times. Implement effective time management practices to optimise staff productivity and operational efficiency. Maintain an organised shop layout that enhances the customer experience and promotes sales. Develop training programmes for new employees to ensure they are well-equipped to perform their roles effectively. Utilise phone etiquette skills to handle customer inquiries and resolve issues promptly. Monitor sales performance and implement strategies to achieve targets. Collaborate with upper management to develop promotional campaigns and marketing strategies.

Requirements

A strong knowledge of the health food sector. Proven experience in retail management or a similar supervisory role. Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively. Excellent team management abilities, with a focus on motivation and development of staff members. Proficient in administrative tasks, including scheduling and reporting. Exceptional time management skills to ensure efficient operation of the shop. Strong selling abilities with a keen understanding of customer needs and preferences. Effective phone etiquette for professional communication with customers and suppliers. Excellent IT skills.
