Yolk Farm is a vibrant agricultural business that combines the production of quality home-reared products with a welcoming experience for the public. We manage egg production, livestock, and horticulture, ensuring everything looks great for our seasonal events and general enjoyment of visitors. Our aim is to provide a space where the community can connect with agriculture, enjoy fresh produce, and participate in various farm-related activities. We have an onsite farm shop, restaurant and play barn and hold events throughout the year to teach people of all ages about the farming industry.
We're looking for a motivated and versatile individual to join our team as a Farm Manager and play a key role in our daily operations and the upkeep of our beautiful site.

The Role:
This is a dynamic, hands-on role where no two days are the same. You'll be a key player in ensuring the smooth running of our agricultural operations and the success of our events. You'll work closely with the General Manager, using your initiative and problem-solving skills to meet the daily demands of the business.
Key Responsibilities:
Livestock Management (10%):
Oversee livestock, ensuring their welfare is above industry standards. This includes planning production, liaising with vets, and managing feed and supplies.
Horticulture & Ground Care (20%):
Plan and manage the production of quality horticultural products and maintain the site's grounds to a high standard. This includes ensuring self-sufficiency in native species and preparing the site for seasonal events.
Egg Production and Deliveries (40%):
Manage wholesale egg operations, ensuring sufficient supply for the shop, kitchen, and wholesale customers, and complete egg deliveries.
Events (10%):
Assist in the planning, logistics, set-up, and execution of seasonal events, ensuring a positive guest experience.
Site Maintenance (10%):
Complete general repairs and maintenance efficiently.
Building and Planning the Future (10%):
We are looking for a self-starter who can think laterally about potential farm growth to offer more to customers.
Administration:
Maintain accurate records and complete all necessary paperwork.
We're Looking for Someone With:
Experience in one or more of the following:
Farming/Agriculture (livestock, horticulture, ground care)
Maintenance (general repairs, site upkeep)
Events (planning, logistics, execution)
A positive, hardworking attitude with excellent problem-solving skills.
Practical skills with hand tools and potentially tractors and machinery.
Strong teamwork, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Excellent attention to detail and time management.
Ability to work independently and use initiative.
A driving license is required.
