Job Description

We have an exciting opportunity as a Family Support Worker here in Bury Children's Services. The post is an 37 hrs permanent position on Grade 8


The purpose of the post is to work alongside the allocated Social Worker and multi-agency colleagues to support children, young people and their families who are subject to care proceedings. This involves the planning and supervising of court directed Family Time.


In addition to this, the Victoria Children and Family Centre produce Life Story Books for children placed for adoption and deliver parenting group work for families across the Continuum of Need.


You will be part of a skilled, friendly, and supportive team and will work closely with a wide range of professionals. You will be organised, a good communicator and will have a sound knowledge of working with children, young people, and their families. We are looking for individuals who have an excellent understanding of family work and of working with people with adverse childhood experiences.


This position is permanent for 37hrs- working on a rota basis which will include some evening and weekend working.
