Private Client Family Solicitor
for their growing Wills, Trusts & Probate department. This
opportunity
is designed for someone who is not only technically strong in private client matters but also motivated by leadership, business development, and long-term progression.
This role is ideal for a solicitor who thrives in a collaborative environment, is passionate about delivering a high-quality client service, and is seeking to play a central role in the future direction of a well-regarded legal team.
Key Responsibilities
Drafting and preparing Wills in line with client instructions
Managing the administration of estates, including the preparation of Grant of Probate applications
Advising clients on inheritance tax planning, estate structuring, and trust creation
Assisting with the preparation and administration of trusts
Preparing Lasting Powers of Attorney and Court of Protection applications
Providing sensitive and tailored advice across all private client matters
Conducting legal research and preparing written legal documents and correspondence
Managing a personal caseload independently, with support where needed
Assisting with complex and high-value matters alongside senior colleagues
Preparing articles and insights for digital marketing and social media campaigns
Ensuring compliance with all relevant legislation, firm policies, and regulatory bodies
Experience & Skills Required
Qualified Solicitor
NQ to 3 Years PQE
or Legal Executive with a minimum of
8 years' experience
in Wills, Trusts, and Probate
Alternatively, equivalent experience gained through a legal trainee or senior paralegal position
Strong technical knowledge of private client law and probate procedures
Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage caseloads independently
First-class verbal and written communication skills
Commercially minded, target-driven, and capable of meeting deadlines
Proven ability to handle high-net-worth clients and complex estate matters
Client-centric approach with a focus on developing and maintaining long-term relationships
A team player with a willingness to continue learning and growing professionally
Desirable Attributes & Qualifications
STEP qualification or working towards it
Member of the Association of Lifetime Lawyers
Law Degree, LPC, or other recognised legal qualifications
(Must Have)
Experience in business development or networking
Innovative and adaptable, with a proactive attitude toward challenges
Willingness and ability to commute to client sites and local offices as needed
