Family Nurse
The Family Nurse Partnership (FNP) is a national evidence-based, intensive home visiting programme delivered by Family Nurse case-holders who are trained to use a trauma informed approach to develop therapeutic relationships with young clients and their children. The Family Nurse recruits young parents , and works with them up until their first child is 2 years old. This is to improve their antenatal health, their child's health and development through sensitive and responsive parenting, and their own (and their partner's) economic self-sufficiency.
