We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Legal Secretary, with Family Law experience to join our dynamic legal team. This role requires excellent communication skills, strong organisational abilities, and proficiency in various IT applications.
The main purpose of this role is to support fee earners with their day-to-day administration and client care. In summary the role requires you to:
Provide administrative support to manage the fee earners diaries, take minutes, draft letters, assist in the preparation of Court documents, including applications and statements, answering telephone calls, booking barristers, arranging assessment appointments and/or scientific testing.
Collating documentary evidence for and submitting legal aid applications.
Claiming disbursements and managing costs via the Legal Aid Portal (CCMS)
Uploading and downloading documents from the HMCTS Portal.
Liaising and assisting clients.
Liaising with other professionals including experts and the Court.
Time recording.
File closures.
Candidate Specification
In summary the role requires you to have:
Relevant secretarial, PA experience or ability to demonstrate excellent administrational experience - in Family law.
Excellent communication skills - both written and verbal.
Strong teamwork skills
IT literacy - you will be required to utilise this firm's case management system and multiple portals.
Excellent time management and organisation skills
Excellent attention to detail
