Cleaner/Labourer

.

As a Cleaner/Labourer you will support the manufacturing process by ensuring work spaces, equipment, and communal areas are clean, safe, and organised. This role plays a crucial part in maintaining production flow and ensuring adherence to health and safety standards in a modular manufacturing environment.

Please note; this role involves manual handling and some heavy lifting.

Key Responsibilities:

Clean factory floors, workstations, assembly areas, and communal spaces (canteens, washrooms, offices). Dusting, mopping, vacuuming, and sanitising surfaces regularly. Emptying bins and managing waste segregation according to company policies. Assist with loading/unloading materials and components. Move materials or equipment around the site using manual handling techniques or lifting aids. Help maintain stock of cleaning materials for the team. Support production teams with basic, non-skilled tasks (e.g., tidying up work spaces, clearing debris, sweeping work bays). Identify and report hazards, spills, or damaged equipment immediately. Follow company procedures for cleaning substances (COSHH compliance). Wear appropriate PPE at all times and adhere to site safety protocols. Support site setup and clear-down activities. Collaborate with production, maintenance, and logistics teams to ensure smooth site operation. Take on ad-hoc tasks as needed during busy periods.
