Facilities Maintenance Supervisor

reporting to the Maintenance Manager you will work as part of the team supervising and conducting the planned preventative maintenance tasks, fault rectification, fault investigations and emergency call outs. This scope may expand in the future as the project evolves.



This specialist role covers all areas and includes guest homes as required, staff housing, and all buildings and infrastructure throughout the estate. This role will supervise and oversee all areas of the business and will work closely with and be directed by the maintenance manager. Your expertise and knowledge will contribute to the safety, comfort, and overall experience of our guests and staff throughout the club.

Joining our team as Maintenance Assistant you ensure the safe and efficient operation of our local utilities and extensive facilities from guest housing to staff housing and all buildings and infrastructure. From lighting, HVAC, Water, Gas Electrical generation and distribution, fire, access equipment, plant vehicles, buildings, infrastructure and associated assets, grounds, pathways, and roads. Contributing to a comfortable and secure environment for guests and colleagues.



Planning and implementing the daily maintenance tasks; forecasting the reactive, preventative and project-based workloads. Contributing to long-term planning, by clearly communicating the known or expected works on a centralised platform.



You support with the completion of all planned preventative maintenance, repairs, and fault investigations on time and to meet the expected high standards associated with the club and as directed by facilities and operations management including other departmental managers with logistical issues; where necessary and as directed, at various locations throughout the estate.



Managing inventory of supplies, notifying the Maintenance Manager of material and equipment deficiencies at the earliest opportunity. Rectifying faults as directed and keeping excellent documentation, ensuring work order reports have a detailed description and are fully reflective of the works needing to be completed.



You will monitor the correct operation and proper use of all the assets, equipment, and systems. Managing contractor attendance and ensuring the documentation provided is suitable for the task ahead. Work permits are issued, controlled, and closed out according to procedures. With all items issued being returned prior to their departure.



Assisting the operational team, by coaching the correct and proper use of assets, equipment, and any systems as and when required. Mentoring the maintenance team throughout their shift, ensuring they have all the appropriate tools, materials, and documentation to achieve tasks or duties issued to them and ensuring they remain productive throughout their shift.



Lead on daily team briefings, issuing planned daily tasks. Following the correct processes and procedures with work orders and following preventative maintenance SOP's. Reviewing and challenging the SOP documentation as part of the clubs' continuous improvement strategy. Communicating accurately and effectively with HOD's, colleagues, members, and guests. Leading by example and adhering to all safety and health and environmental policies and procedures.



Assisting the senior leadership in maintaining and repairing fire and life safety systems equipment, HVAC, plumbing and electrical systems, kitchen appliances, refrigeration equipment, lighting, laundry equipment and other systems. Coordinating shut down and start ups of utilities when conditions necessitate.



Lead on maintaining work vehicles, conducting pre-use checks, and ensuring they are well maintained and kept clean and tidy. Conducting regular site walks, and check in with all staff throughout the day, monitoring correct operation and proper use of equipment and systems. Other duties and special projects as and when assigned.

Previous leadership experience with one years' experience with HVAC and electrical equipment a knowledge of safe work practices, procedures, tools, equipment, and techniques used in the trades. Excellent organisational skills and the ability to prioritise and manage multiple projects simultaneously in-order to meet deadlines. Working effectively under pressure and/or stringent schedule to produce accurate results.



Navigating mobile applications for reporting and recording tasks. Good written, verbal, and interpersonal and computer skills with the ability to interact with all levels of staff including management. Working irregular/extended hours; including nights, weekends when required.



UK driving license is essential. This role requires frequent bending, kneeling and the lifting and carrying of equipment and machinery weighing 23kg and greater throughout the facility to complete repairs maintenance, and can be on all floors in varying heights and distances and at various locations within the club both indoors and outdoors.
