EYFS Teaching Assistant

If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join our team as an Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) Teaching Assistant, specifically working with children with Special Educational Needs (SEN). We are currently recruiting for a position at a well-respected Darwen Primary School that has a fully inclusive and nurturing ethos.

As an EYFS Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting children with SEN in their early years of education. You will work closely with the class teacher and other professionals to create a nurturing and inclusive learning environment. Your responsibilities will include:

Providing one-on-one support to children with SEN, helping them access the curriculum and develop essential skills.

Assisting the class teacher in planning and delivering tailored activities to meet the individual needs of each child.

Supporting children with personal care tasks, if required.

Promoting social interaction and emotional well-being within the classroom.

Monitoring and documenting the progress and achievements of the children you work with.

The role is to start in September and is for the full academic year working 8.30-3.30 5 days a week with a half an hour lunch.

To Apply for this role you will have:

Ideally previous experience working with EYFS children with SEN

A calm, confident demeanour with a proactive attitude

A clear, enhanced DBS on the update service (or the means to apply for a new one)
