Summary During a time of exciting growth we are recruiting for an Export Administrator to join our team at Dowty Propellers (a GE Aerospace company) onsite at our newly built manufacturing super site in Brockworth, Gloucester. Dowty Propellers are responsible for designing, making and maintaining cutting edge blade that are essential on multiple civil and defence platforms, from hovercraft, to civil jets and military transporters.In this business critical role, working in a busy Logistics Department you'll be reporting to the ITC Leader, where you will be mainly responsible for the auditing of all export paperwork in line with HMRC regulations and GExe2x80x99s policies and procedures.Roles and Responsibilities:Ensure the Export country compliance processes are followedWork closely with International Trade Compliance Leader to develop processes to assure compliance with all country requirementsVerify shipping documentation is in line with HMRC export entryEnsure record keeping is up to date and easily accessibleRaising of monthly HMRC reportsAwareness of operational metrics to assure compliance with all import / export proceduresPrepare / maintain reporting of current status/progress of all export activityMonitor carrier performance through KPIsResponsible for any other administrative duties and customer service as neededAttend and support team daily operating rhythms with departmental concerns and present performance when required.Support the shipping team if/when required.Desired Qualifications:Demonstrable experience in an import/export or logistics role would be highly advantageous however if you have administrative experience within a manufacturing environment, we would be very interested in hearing from you.Desired CharacteristicsConfident and capable of working to deadlines.Ability to undertake basic calculations (i.e. VAT and duty)Strong oral and written communication skillsStrong interpersonal skillsAbility to work in a team environment.Interested in process simplification.Flexible WorkingGE supports and encourages flexible working arrangements, where possible, and recognises the benefits to employees of having a positive work-life balance.Total RewardAt GE Aviation we understand the importance of Total Reward.
