Due to recent growth, we are seeking a highly skilled and well-presented
Experienced IT Support Engineer
to join our expanding team. This full-time, office-based role will be based on site at our clients offices in Edinburgh, with occasional Travel. We are looking for someone who can start immediately, with full onboarding and training provided.
Key Responsibilities:
Act as the first point of contact for clients via phone, email, or helpdesk ticketing system.
Deliver friendly, efficient, and effective IT support, both remotely and on-site.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Windows servers, desktops, Active Directory, and Microsoft 365.
Perform routine maintenance, on-site installations, and site surveys.
Manage and document tickets through our ticketing system, ensuring issues are resolved promptly and thoroughly.
Maintain client documentation and ensure accurate updates to tickets with customer notifications.
Collaborate with vendors for expedited hardware and software troubleshooting.
Travel to customer sites for callouts and installations, with occasional overnight stays.
Required Skills & Experience:
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in technical support, preferably within a Managed Service Provider (MSP) or IT support business.
Strong knowledge of Windows server and desktop operating systems.
Proficiency in Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policies, and file/print services.
Familiarity with Microsoft 365, remote support tools, and cloud services like Azure.
Advanced understanding of networking, structured cabling, IT hardware, and workstation installations.
Full UK driving license and the ability to travel between Bellshill and client sites.
Excellent communication skills and a customer-focused attitude.
Ability to work independently, manage tasks, and solve complex IT challenges.
Nice to Have:
Familiarity cloud-based solutions.
Microsoft certifications or other relevant IT accreditations.

Education:
Certificate of Higher Education or equivalent (preferred).
Microsoft Accreditation(s) (preferred).
