Summary

We are seeking a talented Chef to join our dynamic team at The George Hotel Chepstow. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing kitchen operations, ensuring high standards of food production, and delivering an exceptional dining experience for our guests.

Responsibilities

Lead and manage kitchen staff to ensure efficient operations. Oversee food preparation and cooking processes to maintain high quality standards. Create and develop innovative menu items that reflect seasonal ingredients. Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain cleanliness in the kitchen. Train and mentor kitchen staff to enhance their culinary skills. Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery. Manage inventory, including ordering supplies and minimizing waste.

Requirements

Proven experience as a Chef or in a similar role within a restaurant environment. Strong knowledge of culinary techniques and food safety standards. Excellent leadership skills with the ability to manage a team effectively. Creativity in menu development and presentation. Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with staff.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: 13.00-15.00 per hour
