We are now recruiting for an Executive Director to join our Group Marketing team, in a permanent capacity, working full-time at our Swindon offices located on key transport links in the town centre.

About the Role:



The role is a senior leadership role, responsible for developing and overseeing the strategic direction, development and execution of all marketing activity at BCS. The role leads and manages a central marketing team, ensuring alignment with the company's overall business goals, brand positioning and customer acquisition strategies.

The role requires strong leadership, strategic vision and a deep understanding of marketing principles, combined with a data-driven approach to decision making.

The Executive Director, Marketing is an experienced marketing professional and is expected to contribute significantly to BCS growth and brand reputation.

Key Responsibilities:



Strategic Leadership: Develop and executive a comprehensive marketing strategy that aligns with BCS's business goals and brand positioning.

Brand Management: Ensure strong brand consistency and visibility across all channels, strengthening BCS's reputation in the IT accreditation sector.

Demand Generation & Customer Acquisition: Oversee marketing campaigns and initiatives to drive customer acquisition, engagement and retention.

Digital Marketing & Data Analytics: Utilize data-driven insights to optimize marketing performance and improve ROI across digital and marketing channels.

Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with executive leadership, sales, product development, and other departments to align with marketing efforts with business objectives.

Team Leadership & Development: Lead, mentor, and develop the marketing team to ensure high performance, innovation and professional growth.

Market Research & Competitive Intelligence: Monitor industry trends, competitor activities, and market dynamics to identify new opportunities for growth and differentiation.

Budget Management: Develop and manage the marketing budget, ensuring effective allocation of resources and cost efficiency.

Public Relations & Communications: Oversee PR and corporate communications strategies to enhance external visibility and stakeholder engagement.

Technology & Innovation: Leverage emerging marketing technologies and tools to enhance customer experiences and marketing efficiency,

Work collaboratively with other BCS departments as required, to achieve common goals, share best practice, support projects, contribute to improvement initiatives and help drive business change.

Flexibility is required of all job holders to adjust responsibilities as required from time to time by their Line Manager/Divisional Director.

Who we are looking for:



Education and qualifications



Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field (Master's degree preferred)

Professional certifications in marketing (e.g., CIM, AMA) are desirable.

Experience



Extensive experience (10+ years) in a senior marketing leadership role, preferably in IT, professional accreditation, or membership organizations.

Proven track record in developing and implementing successful marketing strategies that drive business growth.

Strong experience in digital marketing, data analytics, and customer acquisition strategies.

Experience managing and leading high-performing marketing teams.

Experience working with C-suite executives and stakeholders to drive organizational goals.

Stakeholder Management: Strong interpersonal and communication skills to engage effectively with internal and external stakeholders.

Project Management: Ability to manage multiple projects, budgets, and deadlines effectively.

Knowledge:



In-depth understanding of marketing principles, branding and digital marketing trends.

Strong knowledge of the IT accreditation and certification landscape.

Expertise in CRM, marketing automation, content marketing, and social media strategies.

Familiarity with regulatory and compliance considerations in the IT accreditation sector.

Knowledge of customer segmentation, buyer personas, and behaviour analytics.

Special Conditions:



Occasional travel in the UK will be required and attendance at BCS official event, external meetings and appointments.

A full, clean driving licence is desirable.
