Silverwood Lodges is looking for a Junior Event Coordinator to join our team!



Over the past few years we have grown into a well-established, resort with luxury lodges, a rustic event barn and wedding venue. Our fun and friendly team are very passionate about Silverwood.

We are relaxed but busy venue and are looking for someone who enjoys a challenge and is capable of hitting the ground running from day one.

A Junior Event Coordinator assists in organising and supervising the event's business, promotional and social events. Their duties include brainstorming with management to enhance an event and it's success and working with other vendors to deliver events that meet the clients requirements.

Job Summary:

The Coordinator will be responsible for assisting the Events Department and Events Manager in planning weddings at our Perth location. You will be responsible for providing the following duties:
Assist in the development of wedding plans. Provide assistance to the Event Manager in all aspects of the wedding including: planning, setting up, stock orders, Client Meetings, etc.
Prepare and provide information to guests attending events. Assist in preparation of event contracts. Prepare contracts for events such as weddings, conferences, etc.Assist in the preparation of orders. Assist with the operation of events such as weddings or banquets. Assist with special event logistics such as set-up and clean up. Perform other duties as assigned. This is a hands on active role.

Other duties include :

Management of incoming and outgoing calls, e-mail, social media messages.
Ensuring lodges are ready for guests,
Dealing with wedding bookings and scheduling events
Update calendars and schedule / meet with clients for viewings
Maintaining a welcoming and tidy reception area
Taking payments & cash handling
Keeping a tight control on supplies
Social media management including Instagram, Facebook etc..
Checking in guests
Scheduling cleaning / turn around
End of event clearing and re set duties

Experience: The ideal candidate must have experience coordinating weddings and events. Must be able to work independently and possess excellent communication skills. Must have excellent organizational skills and be able to multitask effectively. Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines. The ability to work weekends is required.
