Maes y Nant Children's Activity Centre near Wrexham is looking for a Support Assistant to work every Tuesday and Wednesday during term time only.

Pay 12.60 per hour, paid all year round through annualised hours.

14 hpw contract

Shifts - 2.00 pm to 10.30 pm on Tuesdays and 11.00 am to 10.30 pm on Wednesdays.

This role involves assisting with meal supervision and cleaning around the centre, maintaining high standards of presentation throughout every aspect of the centre.

Assisting with evening supervision of children. Reminding children of routines and liaising with other staff, recording information where appropriate.

Providing support for groups of children between sessions. This may include helping with harnesses and helmet fitting, provision of waterproofs and other equipment, or other supervisory tasks. And providing support on sessions by fulfilling roles such as bottom of Zip Wire or lake cover.

Actual shifts and duties carried out will be discussed and agreed with the centre manager prior to the job starting.

Some previous work with children is useful, as well as excellent customer care skills and the ability to be positive, professional and supportive of others at all times. We take safeguarding very seriously and the successful applicants will need to complete an enhanced DBS check.
