Job Description

We have a great opportunity for an Estimator with one of our clients, where you will be based from their offices as well as on their sites predominantly in Middlesbrough, with some travel to Sunderland. Our client is seeking to further expand their business and provide accurate support to their estimating process. You will be involved in a wide range of projects, varying in size and value, up to the tens of millions. We are seeking a proactive individual with the ability to provide quotes in an efficient manner, with excellent communication skills

Duties as a successful Estimator:

• Being responsible for the estimating process
• Analysing plans and relevant documentation
• Using industry software and analysing data
• Dealing with pricing, tenders and suppliers
• Gaining the best price possible
• Visiting some of the companies project sites to assess requirements
• Producing quotes and identifying costs for materials and labour
• Preparing relevant reports and meeting requirements
• Adhering to suitable guidelines
• Liaising with internal and external parties
• Building relationships and providing advice
• Growing company revenue
• Handling enquiries and being involved in relevant meetings

Skills:

• Experience in an Estimator position or covering similar duties
• Strong knowledge in construction and property
• Experience purchasing construction materials
• Be able to work as part of a team and on your own
• Be able to prioritise tasks in an efficient manner
• Strong communication and customer service skills on all levels

In order to be successful as an Estimator you will be a proactive individual with good experience dealing with suppliers. In return you will receive a salary between \xc2\xa345k-\xc2\xa350k per annum, depending on experience, plus a company profit share scheme.
