Job Description

UK Restoration Services are looking for an experienced Estimator to join our team. We are a leading North West based Principal Contractor specialising predominantly in the Heritage Restoration Sector, working across the UK.

Job role:

Lead in the preparation of tender documents and contract negotiations. Analyse project drawings, specifications, and requirements. Liaise with Construction Professionals, Supply Chain and Contractor's Team. Conduct tender stage site visits and assessments. Build on existing supply chain network. Prepare concise and accurate pricing packages to send out to relevant contractors, maintaining communication throughout the tender period and ensuring quotations meet all requirements. Prepare accurate cost estimates and budgets for a variety of construction projects. Completing measures and take-offs. Liaise with clients, sub-contractors, and suppliers throughout a tender preparation Assistance in bid writing when required. Assist the contracts team in the measurement and valuation of variations in the work during the contract. Collaborate with project teams to identify cost-saving opportunities. Identify risks and opportunities within the project scope.
Experience:

Experience is essential in all aspects of construction. Experience in Historic/Listed Buildings an advantage Strong numerical and analytical skills with a keen attention to detail. Strong understanding of Construction methods. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively. A proactive and self-motivated approach, with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively. Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel. Strong knowledge of construction contracts and cost management. A valid UK driving licence is essential.
