Job Description

We are looking to recruit a skilled, knowledgeable and motivated stockperson to work with the Farm Manager and team to maintain and develop the farms on the 4,000 acre estate to the highest standards.

You will be keen and enthusiastic with a proven track record in a similar role, with formal training, and a wide practical knowledge of working agriculture.

Duties will include:

• Responsibility for 1,500 sheep, 600 cattle and other livestock.

• Assisting with registering livestock, movement licences and general management.

• Ensuring vehicles and equipment used on the estate are properly maintained.

You will be:

• Well organised with attention to detail.

• Practical, hands-on, with excellent team working skills.

• Capable of working on own initiative, alone or with small teams.

• Experienced in driving and maintaining tractors and attachments, and using a wide range of tools and equipment. Full UK driving licence.

• Flexibile to work additional hours as may be necessary, including weekends or on bank holidays.

• Able to communicate clearly, verbally and in writing.
