The salary for this role is \xc2\xa330,268 for a 40 hour full time permanent position
26 days holiday entitlement plus Bank holidays , rising to 30 days with length of service
Working days are predominately Monday to Friday days. With a range of start times between 730 & 8am. On Fridays we finish at 1530.
Work Van to use as part of the role. This is kept on site in our Newport depot

It is essential for the successful candidate to have a full drivers licence.
The successful candidate will need a basic DBS check in place, which we pay for.

What will you do?
As an Estates Carpenter, you will be responsible for carrying out a range of repairs and maintenance works on Pobl homes, communal facilities, and commercial premises. Your craftsmanship will contribute to delivering exceptional services and high-quality homes. The role will require you to work individually and as part of a larger estates team, undertaking pre-painting repairs and core carpentry work. You will also be involved in repairing and installing various wooden structures, including skirting, stairs, window frames, door frames, doors, facia/soffits, and porches. Painting of wooden items will also be part of your responsibilities.
Our Pobl Estates & Environment Team in Newport cover areas between Chepstow Gwent Valleys and parts of Cardiff.
Who We\'re Looking For:
Experience: Proven practical experience in Carpentry, working in a team, and within a Social Housing environment.
Skills & Abilities: Good practical and creative skills, excellent written and oral communication, ability to work carefully, and handle both mental and physical effort.
Knowledge and Understanding: Good understanding of Health and Safety and ability to pay attention to detail.
Education and Training: City and Guilds or equivalent recognised qualification in Carpentry (NVQ) and a full clean driving license.
