A position as a Caretaker / External cleaner has arisen to join the engineering department that service's and maintains a 6Private UHNW estate in Surrey.
We are currently a small engineering team consisting of a Chief Engineer, an Electrical Engineer, a Mechanical Engineer, 2 multi Engineers, a team of caretakers and a Painter and decorator.
The main duty of the Caretaker is to maintain the estates properties, out buildings, paths & walkways, plant rooms, swimming pools, water features, electrical equipment and lighting throughout the estate, along with other general day-to-day facilities maintenance, DIY duties.
The department is constantly expanding, which allows for an ever-evolving role, which provides the ability to constantly learn and improve your skills.

Requirements/Duties
The successful applicant will have experience of working within a similar role, in either a private household, or hotel with similar star rating.
You must have an awareness of health and safety.
Carry out In-house preventative and reactive maintenance.
Participate and share knowledge and expertise within the Engineering department and other team members.
The successful candidate will have a Maintenance caretaking background or similar with the ability to adapt to changing working systems with the introduction of new and updated equipment.
Take an active role in improving the operational standards of the properties by using your skills to positively help the day-to-day running of the estate.
Must be able to work flexible hours when needed during occupied periods.
Knowledge, skills and abilities required.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Knowledge of general repairs and DIY.
Experience maintaining and cleaning swimming pools and water features.
Supervise contractors on site.
Jetwash all paths and roads across the estate.
Check sash window, pullies ropes and guides are working correctly.
Waste management including cleaning of bins and putting them out on time.
Cleaning of all Oak gates and furniture.
Cleaning and positioning of ALL external lighting, Replacing lamps.
Checking sump chambers and drains across the estate aren't blocked.
General DIY on a daily basis, carpentry, plumbing, painting.
Working in a Facilities maintenance job previously is a bonus.
Fluent in spoken and written English.
Strong attendance and punctuality records.
Ability to evaluate objectively, fairly, and consistently.
Ability to understand and follow directions as given.
Ability to work with minimal supervision.
Experience in a similar environment would be a benefit.
Full UK driving licence.
Live within 45 minutes' drive of the Estate.
Have at least 3+ years' experience in a similar role.
Contract Terms
Hours 8am to 5pm. Sunday to Thursday, with the occasional weekend during the summer months.
Annual leave - 28 days per year with no entitlement to public holidays.
Salary- 30,000 - 32,000 gross per annum, with a 13th month discretionary pro-rata bonus at the end of the year.
Uniform and tools supplied.
