Job Summary:
This is a crucial role within the Teledyne-e2v RF Power Division, the role is to be part of the Equipment team to ensure that RF Power equipment are maintained and repaired to a high quality to ensure safe operation and minimise production down time. This role will be responsible for supporting the RF power functions, product teams, engineering support providing independent assurance and governance.
Effective communication skills will be critical to the success of this role, with the ability to apply knowledge and skill to ensure equipment down time is kept to a minimum.
The Equipment Technician function, through a proactive, self-motivated, boundary less approach and being prepared to challenge the norm. Have the ability to work under pressure while ensuring a high attention to detail and quality is maintained. Able to promote growth across the business, will enhance the reputation of the department through exceptional quality standards and contribute towards a significant reduction to equipment downtime and overall manufacturing costs.

Responsibilities:
Working in a well-disciplined, structured, and professional manner at all times, this includes behavioural, and adherence to company procedures and systems.
Organisation and prioritisation of own workload.
Always use good health and safety practices
Understanding of vacuum systems
Support the equipment build and calibration teams.
Identify needs for preventative maintenance and implement.
Carry out regular scheduled safety inspections and preventative maintenance tasks on vacuum systems.
Carry out reactive breakdown maintenance on vacuum systems.
Assist in sourcing of spare parts for equipment and setting up spare part stocks.
Mechanical fabrication of components for equipment repairs.
Suggest and implement equipment improvements.
Assist production engineers with technical support regarding equipment.
Assist with producing risk and COSHH assessments.
Identify equipment requiring upgrade or replacement
Provide regular progress updates to their Line Manager.
