We are pleased to offer an exciting opportunity to join the project team for the new Velindre Cancer Centre here at Velindre Trust.As the Equipment Supervising Officer you will work as part of the project team for the new Velindre Cancer Centre (nVCC), under the direction of the Equipment Workstream Delivery Manager.This postholder will use their knowledge of systems, repairs and warranties to assist in development of specifications and selection of equipment for the new facility, as well as developing equipment solutions, taking account of value for money and risks . The postholder will also work with the services on removals and disposals of equipment.The post holder will work with a multitude of stakeholders to provide and receive complex information, negotiate and motivate self and others to ensure successful delivery, installation and commissioning (where required) of equipment for the new Velindre Cancer Centre in line with the programme for commencement of patient services.Main duties of the jobThe main duties will be to lead and oversee the delivery of the equipment programme for the new Velindre Cancer Centre, including the procurement, installation and commissioning of all equipment.The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.About usHere at Velindre University NHS Trust we are extremely proud of the specialist services we provide across the whole of Wales in our cutting-edge Velindre Cancer Centre and ouraward-winning Welsh Blood Service, as well as the expertise of our corporate functions that bring the two divisions together.
