We are looking for an

Equipment Operations Manager to join our team in

Chineham.

Working in partnership with the Head of Asset Management, the Equipment Operations Manager is the business expert for all things equipment (roll cages, dollies, green trays etc.).

The Equipment Operations Manager will act as the lead conduit between the Network Planning Centre (NPC), Retail Distribution RDCs, and Primary Hubs to ensure the right equipment products are in the right place, at the right time.

Role details:



Salary: Circa 50,000 DOE
Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Working pattern: Monday to Friday
Location: Chineham, RG24 8UB

What you'll do:



Your key accountabilities will include:

Proactively collaborates with NPC, Retail RDCs, Primary Hubs and Logtek to improve equipment operations performance Ownership and ongoing development of the equipment KPI's, communicating and challenging equipment operations performance Support Network Solutions Team (NST) in identifying opportunity areas where equipment flows are not adequate, and works to find the lowest cost solution to ensure adequate equipment availability in the locations where it is required Acts as a point of escalation for supplier equipment issues. Collaborates across Gist, M&S and suppliers to identify and deploy cost-out initiatives across the end-to-end equipment supply chain Collaborates with M&S colleagues to ensure all system data is accurate and up to date, ensuring accurate continued accurate charging of equipment to suppliers Participation in supplier charging and invoicing queries, and collaboration with colleagues within M&S Commercial, Supply Chain and Finance to resolve Supports the Head of Asset Management in the equipment procurement process, and management of our third-party equipment management supplier, Logtek

Who you are:



Your skills and experience will include:

Demonstrable operational experience in the logistics/transport industry Demonstrable experience in working with large data sources, extracting key insights and communicating relevant trends to stakeholders The ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels - identifying improvement areas and influencing performance improvement and change The ability to work under pressure against tight deadlines, responding to changing customer requirements Ability to articulate with clarity in writing and strong presentation skills to report back to senior management Understanding business objectives and lead by example, role modelling the Gist values
