The EDI Project Officer role is hosted by BLMK ICB on behalf of the NHSE Regional People and Culture team.The People and Culture team support our 6 Integrated Care Systems to deliver against 3 key programmes of work to encourage our learners and employees across our region in health and social care to stay through:1. Improving leadership, talent and management practices2. Improving staff experience and wellbeing3. Ensuring equality, diversity and inclusion of all staff.The post holder will report to the Regional EDI Lead and support the delivery of this work, primarily focused on both the Equality Diversity and Inclusion workstream & the Management, Leadership Development and Talent workstream.The post holder will lead on the planning & coordination and tracking of agreed work programmes to ensure that they are planned and managed effectively. They will also work alongside the wider People and Culture team delivering a mix of projects and programmes relating to improving equity for people of all backgrounds and characteristics, championing inclusion and improving diversity within the workforce, including improving EDI across the region's leadership, talent and management practices.There will be some administrative tasks required as part of this role including meeting management and data analysis from a range of sources such as the Staff Survey, CQC reports, Pulse Surveys, Talent Insights data and other information sources available in the NHS.Main duties of the jobTo support the Regional EDI lead in reviewing and reporting performance against the National EDI Improvement Plan by collecting, analysing and presenting qualitative and quantitative dataTo analyse, interpret and communicate EDI statistical data clearly through reports to relevant stakeholders using a variety of formats (e.g., statistical data, graphs and narrative.)To support the work to drive cultural change to improve the workplace experience of our workforce with protected characteristics and drive positive impact on the differentials that currently existTo use excellent and well developed listening and negotiation skills to constructively challenge discriminatory practice in all areas of their work.Ensuring that we have clear metrics and data to support our approach and impact in relation to our regional diversity demographics and in line with MaLD objectives.Support with analysis and evaluation of leadership programme and leadership interventions regional uptake data (e.g. Aspiring CEO, Aspiring Chair, Aspiring Executive programmes, , Mid-level leaders programmes, High potential programme, Culture catalysts programme, coaching and mentoring activities/capacity) to understand current position and consider ways to improve thisWe reserve the right to close the vacancy early based on application numbers received.About usWe are committed to promoting equal opportunities to achieve equity of access, experience and outcomes and to recognising and valuing people's differences.   • Member of a relevant professional body

  • Demonstrable experience of working in a large complex organisation.
  • Further training or significant experience in project management, financial management or supporting change management processes
  • Experience and understanding of evaluating and measuring the performance of health services
  • Experience in communications and stakeholder management
Desirable
  • Previous experience in similar role in public sector

  • Ability to analyse and interpret information, pre-empt and evaluate issues, and recommend and appropriate course of action to address the issues
  • Problem solving skills and ability to respond to sudden unexpected demands.
