Job Description
We are looking for an Entry Level Free Running Explosive Detection Dog (FREDD) Handler. You will be screening large quantities of cargo for the aviation industry.
You will initially be based at our base in Cheshire for training for up to 12 weeks depending upon experience, moving to your duty post as the role develops. Accomodation is provided during the training period.
Duties involved
Screening aviation cargo at UK hubs. Ensure the health and welfare of dogs is maintained to high standard. Maintain and ensure safe handling of training samples. Complete detailed real time records for the dogs. Comply with company policies and procedures. Conduct risk assessments as required. Maintain vehicle, equipment, and project equipment.
Required
Computer literate. Excellent communication skills. Ability to work alone. Effectively problem solving skills. Full UK driving license, with no more than 6 points. Full background checks will be conducted in addition to DBS check (for licencing purposes). 5 year checkable work history Right to work in UK Physical stamina required. You will need to be able to house a dog at your home address. Within 15miles commute to London Heathrow Ability to work changing shifts covering 24/7
