aEnterprise Architect

As a Barclays Enterprise Architect, you will be focused on building long term strategic roadmaps aligned to both business requirements, technology capabilities & engineering best practice. You will Partner across the organization to align business and IT strategies and maximize the value of technology investments and maintain an active view of industry and technology trends and their relevance, identifying opportunities to advance business strategy through innovation and technology adoption.

Hybrid Working

What will you be doing?

• Maintaining a depth of understanding of how own role and team integrates with other teams across the Bank, contributing to their goals
• Providing architectural governance in line with business and control requirements
• Facilitating decision making and arbitration relating to trade-offs both within and between different solution platforms
• Supporting architects and engineers in ensuring project deliveries align to strategy and roadmaps
• Identifying opportunities for simplification, standardization and reuse across the technology estate, enabling increases in operational efficiency
• Undertaking technical evaluation of partnerships, 3rd party vendors and technologies
• Actively communicating technology strategy and architecture to the wider technical community
• Collaborating with other Business Unit CTOs to drive the Group wide standards on design and architecture

What we\xe2\x80\x99re looking for:

• A technology professional, able to build trusted relationships with business, COO and CIO stakeholders
• Experience in shaping and defining reusable solutions and architecture across disparate technologies that resolve complex business issues
• Experience in one or more data focused architectural areas

Skills that will help you in the role:

• Experience / Understanding of the role Enterprise Architecture plays in a large organization
• Ability to deal with issues in a positive and constructive manner, driving resolution and accountability
• Ability to bring together colleagues to find the right technology solution for the business

Where will you be working?
You will be based in Radbroke, Knutsford. The Barclays Technology Campus just outside Manchester is our tech command centre and a vital strategic powerhouse behind our global operations. The campus is set in a 64 acre self-contained site, in a beautiful green environment and it offers unrivalled facilities for work and for play. We have an onsite gym, as well as outdoor tennis, football and cricket areas, as well as onsite restaurant and coffee shops.
