Based at the Blackpool School of Arts (BSoA) at the University Centre, this is an exciting opportunity to support student success in core subjects and contribute to a dynamic academic environment.Your Responsibilities Will Include:As an Engagement Mentor, you will play a key role in driving student engagement and progress in English and Maths within an assigned curriculum area. Your main duties will involve:

  • Building effective relationships with students, fostering an environment of trust and support to improve attendance, engagement, and progress in English and Maths.
  • Monitoring and reporting on student progress and homework engagement, liaising with staff, parents/guardians, and external agencies as appropriate.
  • Collaborating with curriculum teams to integrate and raise the profile of English and maths within their programmes.
  • Planning and delivering targeted interventions for students at risk of underperformance, including one-to-one and group sessions.
  • Supporting high-achieving students in English and Maths to reach their full potential and access enrichment opportunities.
