Engineering Technical Expert & Tooling Lead

We are looking for an Engineering Technical Expert to join the team. This role manages all the on-site tooling & the team of tooling engineers who provide technical support service which is safe, quality (GMP) compliant, reliable and efficient which in turn enables production/ operations teams to operate the equipment/processes effectively in a safe environment and deliver quality products that meet customer requirements on time.

Catalent Pharma Solutions Swindon is the home of the Zydis Technology. The Zydis\xc2\xae ODT (orally dissolving tablet) fast-dissolve formulation, is a unique, freeze-dried oral solid dosage form that disperses almost instantly in the mouth \xe2\x80\x93 no water required. With more than 20 products launched in 60 countries, it continues to be the world\xe2\x80\x99s best-in-class ODT technology.

The Role

To manage all new tooling required for new products

To investigate and improve technical engineering related issues

Delivering a clear vision/ plans for the team and being agile to evolving business needs.

Driving a customer centric mindset and be be the point of contact for the customer

Assist the engineering operations team in resolving breakdowns and issues.

Encouraging collaboration within and outside of the team.

Developing team\xe2\x80\x99s overall capability & providing coaching to team members

Driving accountability via use of KPI

Drive a culture of Safety, Compliance, Continuous Improvement & Inclusion

Provide Opex budget forecarts and secure Capex funding.

Manage Opex and Capex spend.

The Candidate

Full time served engineering apprenticeship, or equivalent qualifications- Required

Electrical / Mechanical engineer with extensive post apprenticeship experience in an Engineering role.

Experience of managing people

Electrical Engineering experience - highly advantageous

Working knowledge of tooling techniques and machining capabilities

Technical breakdown expertise

Production Engineering experience

Experience with Continuous Improvements

GMP experience -

Good team player
