Morrells Woodfinishes are a market leading British company originating from 1902 specialising in high performance wood finishes, with a significant European brand profile and reputation as part of RPM International Inc.

We develop, manufacture and distribute a full range of high performance wood finishes as well as offering a bespoke colour-matching service for paints, stains and tinted lacquers.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, self-motivated candidate to join the business as an Engineering Team Leader on a permanent basis to ensure all maintenance operations are carried out safely and efficiently in order to keep the site operational.

Duties Include:

Ensure all machinery is mechanically and electrically safe and meets relative legislation Assist with site development and carry out agreed tasks accordingly Contribute to project planning, execution and delivery, ensuring the deadlines and quality standards are met. Report to the Engineering Supervisor anything that may interrupt the smooth flow of work through your section Lead and support Maintenance engineers. Deputize for other personnel Ensure Maintenance staff work in a safe and efficient manner & are using appropriate PPE To maintain and improve housekeeping standards. To carry out any other reasonable requests from a manager or supervisor. Overtime may be required The successful candidate will need to be on 24 hour call when required

Successful candidates will have the following:

Minimum Level 3 Electrical or Mechanical qualifications Electrical & Mechanical fault finding - Diagnose and resolve breakdowns to minimize downtime Understanding of industry regulations and safety standards relevant to the engineering field Committed to the health, safety and wellbeing of co-workers and the environment. A willingness to adapt to changing business needs. Strong team working skills
