Engineering Team Leader - Food Manufacturing

Overview
Are you looking to make a step up the ladder on your way to engineering management? If so, this could be an ideal role for you. A large food manufacturer in Cheshire is currently recruiting for an Engineering Team Leader to join their maintenance team to manage day to day engineering operations on site. The role will be varied and cover management, improvement and project work. This is ideal for someone looking to step in to a more senior role as no previous senior / management experience is required to move in to this Engineering Team Leader role.
Responsibilities for the Engineering Team Leader
- Overseeing and managing day to day shift operations.
- Management and oversight of engineers on your shift.
- Hands on maintenance covering proactive and reactive engineering.
- Project and improvement work.
- Working on Engineering projects (e.g. commissioning, installations, relocations)
- Identifying and implementing improvements covering both processes machine output
- Adhering to site Health & safety rules and legislation on site
- Time-served / recognised apprenticeship (or equivalent) in a relevant engineering subject
- Experience working in a Multi skilled role across mechanical and electrical engineering or a more senior engineering role.
- Ability to and experience of working to a fast pace, ideally confident in a manufacturing environment.
