As part of our continued growth, we are now seeking a proactive and experienced Engineer Supervisor to lead our engineering team and help drive technical quality, team performance, and customer satisfaction.
The Role
As the Engineer Supervisor, you will oversee a team of engineers working across multiple sites following a strategic restructure within the business. You'll take responsibility for coordinating day-to-day operations, responding to breakdowns, managing depot stock levels, and ensuring work is delivered safely and efficiently.
This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who enjoys balancing operational management with technical support and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
Team Supervision and Leadership
Provide clear leadership to engineers across the depot network
Schedule workloads, monitor performance, and support development through training and mentoring
Set high standards for safety, professionalism, and service delivery
Conduct site visits and quality checks to ensure compliance and consistency
Customer Support
Serve as the key technical contact for customers and internal stakeholders
Resolve breakdowns quickly and efficiently, ensuring minimal disruption
Provide expert advice, guidance, and follow-up support as needed
Build strong working relationships through reliable and respectful service
Maintenance and Troubleshooting
Oversee and support maintenance, fault diagnosis, and repair of welfare units
Ensure preventative maintenance routines are followed and accurately documented
Guide engineers on more complex technical challenges and ensure swift resolution
Process and Service Improvement
Identify and implement improvements to processes, procedures, and technical standards
Ensure compliance with health & safety regulations and internal policies
Promote a culture of accountability, efficiency, and pride in work quality
Stock Management
Monitor and manage engineering stock across all depots
Liaise with procurement to ensure essential parts and tools are available when required
Maintain accurate records to minimise downtime and support efficient operations
Engineer Oversight
Act as the primary point of contact for all engineers in the business
Ensure consistent delivery, high performance, and development opportunities
Take ownership of team results, work quality, and engineering service levels
What We're Looking For
Previous experience in a supervisory or senior engineering role (welfare units or similar equipment preferred)
Strong technical background with practical knowledge of repairs, diagnostics, and mobile unit systems
Leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage teams across multiple locations
Excellent organisational, communication, and problem-solving skills
A customer-focused mindset and a commitment to high standards
Full UK Driving Licence (required)
