Job Description
A client within the Public Sector based in Wiltshire is currently recruiting for a Engineer to join their Highways & Traffic team as soon as possible. The client is offering a full time, temporary position on an ongoing basis with the ideal candidate having experience of working within a local authority.
The Role
Key purpose of the role is to undertake and supervise the design and delivery of traffic management measures to improve road safety and network capacity.
Key responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
- Consulting on options and after taking on board representation, deciding which schemes to be progressed where multiple technical considerations need to be weighed up.
- Organises the detailed design of preferred scheme ensuring statutory procedures are undertaken in accordance with current legislation.
- Taking design decisions to ensure best outcomes are achieved to meet the needs of highways users and provide an improved service.
To be considered for this role you will require:
- degree qualified or equivalent ability and skills.
- HND level in Civil Engineering.
- Be a member of an appropriate institution.
