An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced multi-skilled engineer to join our team in the Brewery.
The Role
As a Multi-Skilled Engineer, your work will be at the heart of what we do. From ensuring the smooth operation of our brewing systems and packaging lines, to helping deliver the quality that Joseph Holt is known for, your efforts will directly contribute to keeping the beer flowing to pubs and customers across the Northwest.
At Joseph Holt, our Brewery in Cheetham Hill, Manchester is the heart of our operations. Our site features a mix of classic and modern technology, including a boiler, compressors, pumps, cask and keg packaging lines, CIP sets, grain handling systems, and a variety of push-button and SCADA control systems. Brewing on the same site since 1860, we combine tradition with innovation to deliver exceptional beer - and you'll be part of the team that makes it all possible!
Key Responsibilities:
You will join our small engineering team to perform electrical and mechanical maintenance across the site, either directly or with the assistance of contractors.
Focus on preventative maintenance to avoid breakdowns and ensure operations run smoothly.
Order parts and maintain records to support the brewery's needs.
Participate in exciting project work and Capex opportunities to help us modernise and innovate.
The Successful Candidate:
Hold necessary trade qualifications (NVQ, Apprenticeship).
The successful candidate will be self-motivated, driven, willing to be challenged and improve and have a good work ethic.
Willing to learn with support from Joseph Holt to gain further qualifications.
Experience with SCADA systems / PLCs is beneficial, but not essential.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work with multiple stakeholders.
Highly organised, with a positive attitude and the ability to thrive in a friendly team.

Who are we:
Joseph Holt is an independent, six-generation family-owned company, with 128 pubs across the Northwest, ranging from traditional community pubs, food led destination pubs and some with onsite letting rooms.
