As Barclays Research Analyst \xe2\x80\x93 Energy, you will be a part of European Equity Research department focusing on supporting the idea generation and production of Energy research and working alongside our lead Energy analyst with the goal of becoming a top-rated thought leader in European Energy Equity Research. What will you be doing?

• Supporting and contributing to the publication of outstanding, differentiated thematic, sector and company research
• You will be responsible for developing relationships with both internal and external stakeholders
• Learning to identify and analysing market, sector, corporate and/ or economic data to help develop investment theses
• Helping produce insightful, value-added investment research and communicating views clearly to internal and external audiences
• Being collaborative with other members of the department to write broader thought pieces that may impact other sectors
• You\xe2\x80\x99ll be responsible for attending industry conferences to build out wider knowledge
• Think with the mindset of the team\xe2\x80\x99s success, being an excellent team player, challenging the established way of doing things and bringing fresh ideas
• You will be responsible for carrying themselves with the values that Barclays expects - we want a culture of inclusion, excellence

What we\xe2\x80\x99re looking for:

• Demonstrable experience in Equity Research with natural interest in and passion for Equity Markets
• Excellent accounting/ finance skills, ideally with ACA or CFA accreditation
• Proven financial modelling skills and an understanding of how to value companies
• Excellent data skills, especially in Excel

• A track record of presenting an argument with written work
• An enthusiasm to immerse themselves in the dynamics of the sector
• Have commercial instincts
• Be able to achieve excellence while maintaining good humour
