We have a great opportunity for an Energy and Sustainability Manager to lead new initiatives at our manufacturing facilities in the UK. This creative and independent role will report to the PCS NE EHS and Sustainability Leader and work closely with the manufacturing team.

The role is site based at Rugby, with 70% presence at Rugby and 30% support of other regional business units within UK.


The primary responsibilities of an Energy and Sustainability Manager include the development, implementation, and monitoring of energy programs that enhance sustainability. The responsibilities extend from auditing current energy systems to advocating for renewable energy solutions. The role involves:

Conducting energy audits and preparing energy conservation reports. Developing and managing energy conservation programs. Analysing energy usage data to identify opportunities for improvement. Coordinating with facility managers to implement energy-efficient technologies. Monitoring utility bills and verifying energy savings. Advising on procurement of energy-efficient equipment. Promoting sustainable energy policies within the organization. Support sustainability programs

Our Energy and Sustainability Manager will play a critical role by ensuring that all energy systems are used optimally. Their expertise will contribute significantly to formulating strategic energy policies and practices that align with both economic and environmental goals. This position not only helps in cutting down energy costs but also places an organization as a responsible entity adhering to environmental standards.

The ideal candidate will have the following skills, qualifications, and experience:



Have experience with maintaining ISO14001&45001 (auditing qualification not essential) Experience of creating a strong, positive HSE culture Bachelor's degree in energy management, environmental science, mechanical engineering is preferred Ability to provide guidance/ make decisions Pragmatic approach and ability to work with employees at all levels Additionally, the following qualification can be instrumental: Certified Energy Manager (CEM) form Association of Energy Engineers Knowledge of energy modelling software and data analysis tools Understanding of the latest energy technologies and industry trends
