We are a family-run pub and restaurant company with over nine unique sites across South Devon, each with its own distinctive look, feel, and branding. As we continue to grow, we are looking for a Marketing and Social Media Support Coordinator to join our team and help shape our brand presence online while supporting our vibrant venues.

Job Overview:


This role will primarily focus on email marketing, targeted marketing and audience growth, identifying and reaching out to corporate clients, schools, and businesses to drive bookings and events. Additionally, you will provide some essential support for social media (Analytics and ideas but not content creation). There will also be general administrative duties to assist with the smooth running of the business.

Your Role:



Email Marketing & Direct Outreach



Create compelling email marketing campaigns, including content creation, scheduling, segmentation, and performance analysis. Develop targeted email strategies to increase engagement and bookings for corporate clients, schools, and businesses and any other potential business markets. Track and analyse email performance metrics to refine and improve campaign effectiveness, such as A/B testing. Support outreach initiatives by crafting and sending direct communications to potential customers.

Targeted Marketing & Audience Development



Develop and execute marketing strategies to attract corporate clients, schools, and businesses. Identify and develop strategies to reach/attract new audiences, building relationships to drive bookings. Monitor and adjust marketing efforts based on data insights.

Social Media Support



Help to analyse social media metrics to understand audience behaviour, helping you identify targeted email campaigns. Help identify latest trends, strategies, and opportunities for growth in this field.

General Office & Administration (Tertiary Focus)



Assist with general office tasks, such as to including filing, data entry, and document organisation. Help maintain accurate records and assist with scheduling or coordinating meetings. Support the wider office team with day-to-day operations to ensure smooth workflow as well as any requirement the social media team may have.

What We are Looking For:



Experience in email marketing is a must, and general marketing, or audience development.

Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and recommend strategies.

An initiative-taking mindset with a keen eye for identifying fresh marketing opportunities.

Knowledge of email marketing platforms (e.g., Mail Chimp, Mail Octopus).

Ability to work independently while also within a small team.

Effective communication skills and confidence in reaching out to new customers.

Good organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks.

Bonus Skills (Advantageous)



Familiarity with social media tools and reporting platforms.

Experience in the hospitality or events industry.

All applicants will be expected to undertake a pre-Interview Task in the form of Email Marketing Campaign Presentation to be given during your interview:



As part of the interview process, we would like applicants to prepare a short presentation to highlight their approach to creating an email campaign.

Task:



Choose one of our venues (or our company as a whole) and develop a mini-marketing strategy focusing on how you would:

Identify and attract a new audience segment (e.g., corporate clients, schools, local businesses). Create a targeted email marketing campaign to increase bookings and engagement. How you would use data and analytics to track success and optimize efforts. How you would support social media efforts to enhance the campaign's reach.
This can include ideas such as email marketing campaigns, promotions, outreach strategies, and audience engagement tactics. You may use slides, visuals, or supporting materials to present your ideas.

We are not looking for perfection - just creative thinking, a strategic approach, and an understanding of how to connect with new customers.

Pay: 25,000.00-29,000.00 per year
