Electrician

Our new exclusive expanding partnerships with Scottish Gasleading energy suppliers, including Scottish Gas is set to bring Smart solar and storage solutions to thousands more homes across Scotland.



Since 2010, Forster Energy has established a substantial client base from a broad spectrum of sectors, including Construction, Agriculture, the Public Sector and Industry. Installing a diverse range of systems, including Ground mounted, Facades and Roof tops. Established in 1990, Forster Roofing provides Integrated Solar and Roofing services to thousands of New Build Homes, working with every major Home Builder and a wide range of Social Housing Providers. Forster Industrial is one of Scotland's largest Distributors of Solar PV and associated electrical products.



As part of the Solar team, you will have the opportunity to;



Ensure projects are delivered in line with technical and design requirements, whilst maintaining our Forster Standards and customer expectations Support the Design and Construction teams with technical queries Ensure Health and Safety considerations are accounted for during project delivery As an Appointed Person, assist with audits including MCS (NICEIC) and Select Assist Construction team during completion inspections, performance checks and testing Progress in this role, which is part practical and part developmental. Drive and contribute to continuous process improvement

Fully qualified Electrician to 18th Edition an advantage Approved status desirable but not essential. Transition to Approved status can be supported. BS2391 qualification desirable but not essential
Electrical Energy Storage Systems training desirable but not essential

Ability to perform system inspection, testing, commissioning and handover to BS 7671. Excellent knowledge of wiring regulations and certification within domestic, commercial and industrial installations Ability to perform system inspection, testing, commissioning and handover to BS 7671. BS2391 qualification desirable but not essential Experience in the Solar PV sector, including practical knowledge of modules, inverters, DC wiring and monitoring systems Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and electrical schematics Full valid UK driving licence
Key attributes for this role include competence in Microsoft Office applications particularly Excel, ability to anticipate and respond proactively to challenges, disciplined approach to planning, organisation and administration, ability to self-manage workload, to work effectively in a team and develop positive external relationships.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: 850.00-1,200.00 per week
