Qualified Electrician (with Solar PV Installation Experience)

About Us:

Northern Retrofit Limited is a forward-thinking insulation specialist specialising in the ECO funded sector managing projects across the UK.

We are expanding our team and looking for a skilled and motivated electrician to join our local team, us in delivering high-quality, extractor fan installations, socket relocation, general maintenance and to develop our solar PV and battery installations.

The Role:

We are seeking a fully qualified electrician with proven experience in the industry ideally with experience in the installation of solar photovoltaic systems with battery storage. This is a hands-on role that requires a strong understanding of electrical systems and renewable technologies, a commitment to safety and compliance

Key Responsibilities:

Installation of extractor fans and relocation of sockets and switches Installation, testing, and commissioning of solar PV/battery systems (domestic) Electrical installation works in accordance with current IET Wiring Regulations (18th Edition) Fault finding, diagnostics, and maintenance of existing installations Ensuring all work meets relevant health & safety and compliance standards Completing necessary documentation and certificates

Requirements:

NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation (or equivalent) 18th Edition Wiring Regulations ECS/CSCS Card (Gold preferred) Experience installing solar PV systems (minimum 1 year) Full UK Driving Licence Excellent communication and customer service skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Desirable (but not essential):

Level 3 Solar PV and Battery City & Guilds 2391 or equivalent testing & inspection qualification Battery storage installation experience
