The Opportunity:



As an Electro-Mechanical Technician, you will be a key player in our operations, utilizing your comprehensive skills to ensure the efficiency and reliability of our mechanical and electrical infrastructure. Your responsibilities will include:

Assembly and Installation:

Expertly interpreting schematics, mechanical drawings, and specifications to assemble and install a variety of components and systems.

Wiring and Connections:

Precisely connecting electrical components, wiring panels, and adhering to the highest standards of wiring practices.

Troubleshooting and Repair:

Skilfully diagnosing faults in both mechanical and electrical systems, efficiently repairing damaged components, and restoring optimal functionality.

Testing and Quality Control:

Rigorously performing tests to guarantee systems operate correctly and meet stringent quality standards.

Tool Proficiency:

Safely and effectively utilizing a wide array of tools, including power tools, measuring instruments, and hand tools.

Safety Awareness:

Maintaining an unwavering commitment to health and safety regulations and procedures.

Problem-Solving:

Proactively identifying and resolving technical challenges related to mechanical and electrical systems.

Collaboration:

Working effectively with electricians, mechanical engineers, and supervisors to achieve shared objectives.

Flexibility:

Willingness to undertake overtime and travel as required to support operational needs.

*Crucially, experience in working with industrial control systems such as Siemens, Allen-Bradley, and Omron PLCs and HMIs.



Your Working Hours:



Monday to Friday: 07:00 - 15:30

We're Looking For:



Technical Knowledge:

A robust understanding of both mechanical and electrical engineering principles.

Practical Skills:

Proven experience in the assembly, installation, and repair of mechanical and electrical components.

Problem-Solving Acumen:

The ability to effectively diagnose and resolve complex technical issues.

Communication Skills:

Clear and concise communication abilities to interact effectively with team members and supervisors.

Safety Conscious:

A strong commitment to adhering to all health and safety regulations.

Adaptability:

Willingness to work overtime and travel as needed.

Formal Qualifications:

Completion of a relevant apprenticeship, vocational qualifications, or higher education in engineering or a related field is highly desirable.

Specific Experience:

Demonstrable experience in the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of systems incorporating Siemens, Allen-Bradley, and/or Omron control technologies is a significant advantage.
