The role
As an Electrical Technician - Section Leader you\'ll have a role that\'s out of the ordinary. Working within the support business in the delivery of complex deep maintenance periods for the Royal Navy\'s Frigates.

Day to day, you\'ll manage a small team of Electrical / Electronic Technicians as well as:

• Maintain satellite and communication systems and equipment
• Operate and Set to Work equipment and systems within the section
• Identify and rectify defects
• Accept equipment from contractors ensuring that all contracted work is complete to the required standard

Essential experience of the Section Leader

• You will be a qualified electrical or electronic technician with experience working with satellite and radio communication systems and the ability to generate defect reports and populate information into a maintenance management system.
• You will have good engineering standards, a proactive attitude and be agile and adaptable.
• Previous experience as an RN Engineering Technician is desirable however this is not a requirement and all candidates with a background in electrical / electronic equipment and/or sonar & navigational systems will be considered.

This role is full time and based onsite at Devonport Royal Dockyard.

Qualifications for the Electrical Technician - Section Leader:

• HNC/HND qualified or equivalent in an engineering specialisation with significant demonstrable experience

The successful candidate must be able to achieve SC security clearance level for this role.
