We are currently seeking a reliable and hardworking

Electrician's Mate

to join our team in

Cardiff

supporting electrical works within our social housing properties. You'll work alongside qualified electricians to carry out repairs, maintenance, and installation work in occupied and void properties.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build their experience in the electrical field within a customer-focused and safety-conscious environment.

Key Responsibilities

:

Assist electricians in installing electrical systems, including wiring, lighting, and power systems, carrying out tests and repairs Support with measuring, cutting, and fitting cables, conduits, and other electrical components. Carry out basic installation, testing, and troubleshooting under supervision. Prepare and organise tools, materials, and equipment for daily tasks. Keep job sites clean, organised, and compliant with health and safety regulations. Follow instructions accurately and work alongside team members to ensure project deadlines are met. Maintain accurate records of work completed and materials used.

Skills & Qualifications

:

Previous experience as an Electrician's Mate or in a similar assistant/operative role. Basic electrical knowledge and understanding of domestic electrical systems. A team player with a good work ethic and willingness to learn. Ability to follow instructions and work safely under supervision. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Comfortable working in tenants' homes and committed to providing excellent customer service. NVQ Level 2 or equivalent in Electrical Installation Take initiative in identifying learning opportunities to enhance personal skills and contribute to team growth.

Physical Requirements

:

Ability to work in various environmental conditions (indoors, outdoors, etc.).

:

Residential, commercial, and industrial job sites.
