Job Description

Estimator required for our client who are a leading M&E contractor in the Derbyshire area. They are a specialist contractor working on a variety of electrical and data centre installations, fire alarms, emergency lighting, data / telecommunications projects, along with a variety of others.

The ideal candidate will be required to-

• Be flexible on working on a nationwide basis and live within a commutable distance of the company office in Derby.
• Produce accurate electrical tender packages projects on time and to requirements.
• Maximise the projects profitability by ensuring quotes are qualified correctly and supplier / subcontractor are analysed.
• Review tender packages, specification schedules of works and other relevant documentation.
• Consistent communication with clients
• Produce and prepare a clear concise bid which can also detail profit margins
• Quantity take off, cost of materials and fixtures gaining quotation requests from specified suppliers.
• Arranging site visit/surveys with clients and management staff.
• Evaluating risk with bids/projects highlighting potential design issues and issue RFI schedules
• Use and update company estimating software, making sure this is up to date with current rates.

Estimator Position Requirements

The ideal candidate will have-

• Proven experience as an Electrical Estimator.
• Good understanding of project delivery and experience with LV/HV electrical projects
• Project management in a CDM environment.
• Good knowledge of BS7671 wiring regulations, ENA, G81 and DNO standards.
• Pricing projects from a range value of between 50k- 5M, Proven experience of this is required.
• HNC/HND in Electrical Engineering, 18th Edition, Level 3 electrical installation and Auto CAD is required.

Estimator Position Remuneration

• \xc2\xa345,000 + Bonus Scheme
• Company Vehicle
• Holiday Pay
• Mon - Fri (8.00 - 5.00)
• Full package discussed at interview
