Job Description

Howdens is recruiting an Electrical Engineer to join our team based at our manufacturing site in Howden, East Yorkshire. This role will support proactive/preventative maintenance of our manufacturing equipment, services, utilities, and improvement projects and provide support to reactive breakdown maintenance as required.



The ideal candidate could have either completed an engineering apprenticeship or have relevant engineering qualifications with proven manufacturing or industrial experience. Additionally, a good understanding of manufacturing processes within an FMCG environment.

Pay rate:

53,827.28 per annum (Inclusive of Basic rate, shift & disturbance allowance)

Shift pattern:

Week 1 - Wednesday, Thursday, Friday - 6am-6pm Week 2 - Monday, Tuesday - 6am-6pm, Wednesday, Thursday - 6pm-6am Week 3 - Sunday, Monday, Tuesday - 6pm-6am 7 days off

What would you be doing as an Electrical Engineer:

Key skills and experience required for the Electrical Engineer:

Experienced in maintaining multi-axis (CNC) manufacturing machinery Extraction plants Experience in wood-working manufacturing plant - desirable PUWER experience would be desirable Knowledge and experience of Siemens s7 PLC, PLC, Pilz Safety PLC, and PLC would be desirable Fault finding, root-cause analysis and corrective actions Experience of computerised maintenance management systems NVQ Level 3 essential
