In this role, you will be responsible for developing and coordinating electrical designs from concept through to completion, ensuring all work complies with industry standards. You will work alongside multidisciplinary teams, attend technical meetings, and support junior engineers, contributing to the smooth and successful delivery of each project.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver electrical designs for a variety of building services projects
Prepare technical specifications, drawings, and schedules
Perform engineering calculations using tools such as Amtech and Dialux
Collaborate with engineers, consultants, and contractors across disciplines
Conduct site surveys and support ongoing technical project needs
Attend technical meetings and provide design updates
Guide and support junior team members as required
Qualifications & Experience
HNC/ONC/BTEC or Degree in Electrical Engineering, Building Services, or related field
Minimum 2-3 years of experience within a UK consultancy environment
Demonstrable CPD and commitment to career development
Essential Skills
Proficient in the design and coordination of electrical systems
Strong understanding of UK building regulations and British Standards
Familiar with Amtech, Dialux, and similar design software
Excellent time management and communication skills
Ability to manage workload and meet deadlines effectively
Desirable Skills
Experience with AutoCAD, Revit, and Navisworks
Knowledge of IES, SBEM, and sustainability tools
Awareness of BREEAM principles
Understanding of coordination with other MEP services
