The role

As a Electrical / EC&I Engineer, you\'ll have a role that\'s out of the ordinary. The Electrical/EC&I Engineer will work closely with the project controls team to ensure the electrical elements of any projects on site are delivered safely and compliantly.

Day to day, you\'ll review scopes from the end client, providing quotations based on project proposal

  • Product, review and approve of work packages-including quality plans, risk assessments, etc
  • Work closely with the site manager and project manager, reporting back on progress against deliverables and any variations and delays
  • Manage inspections, to ensure and drive progress, quality, and safety during works.
  • Electrical/EC&I will delegate tasks to and be responsible for supervisors and technicians when applicable
Essential experience of the Electrical / EC&I Engineer,
  • Commensurate experience in an EC&I or electrical engineering role, which should include all phases of a complex, multi-discipline project, in a regulated environment (preferably nuclear.)
  • Works well as part of a team and is happy to lead others
  • Is safety-oriented and prioritises embedding safety into site culture
  • Previous experience leading more junior members of their team
This is a full time working role, on-site at Dungeness.

Qualifications for the Electrical / EC&I Engineer,
  • Degree in appropriate relevant engineering discipline OR HNC/HND
  • Has undertaken an edition of the wiring regulations course, ideally 18th (previous versions will be considered and training will be provided accordingly)
  • Membership of an appropriate engineering Institution (i.e. CEng) is desirable
  • IOSH managing safely is desirable
The successful candidate must be able to achieve CTC (can get started on BPSS with it in progress for limited time with escorted pass) security clearance level for this role.
