Role: Electrical Design Engineer

Salary: up to 50,000 per annum DOE

Hours: 37.5hrs Permanent

Location: Skipton

Tailor made are delighted to be recruiting for well-established manufacturing company, with a world-wide reputation and over 80 years heritage within the industry.

They are seeking an Electrical Design Engineer to join their team of highly experienced engineers. The Electrical Design Engineer is responsible for defining and developing electrical design solutions across the company.

The role:

s Electrical design input of machine builds as required

s Produce electrical schematic drawings within SolidWorks Electrical 2D

s Compile and structure BOM within the company ERP system

s Ensure System design & drawings inspection prior to release

s Provide feedback and rectify engineering drawings & Bill of Material errors

s Adhere to customer URS (User Requirement Specifications)

s Attend production and design meetings as required

s Any task that is within your skill set and capabilities throughout the Company

About you:

s Experience in using an electrical design software package, ideally SolidWorks electrical 2D, (or demonstrate the ability to learn Solidworks Electrical)

s Should have worked within a manufacturing environment and have strong controls and system integration knowledge

s Knowledge and understanding of Siemens and Mitsubishi PLC control systems in terms of electrical design requirements

s Educated to degree level in electrical engineering or HND (/similar) with relevant work experience.

s Knowledgeable in electrical design within a machine build environment

s Previous involvement in producing multilevel bill of materials (BOMS)

s Good communications skills, with ability to communicate clearly to all levels from shop floor through to senior management

s Work to all current Health & Safety, environmental, quality, industrial specific and company standards

s PLC programming capabilities

s Knowledge and understanding of ISO 13849 control system functional safety calculations and risks assessments. Previous experience of producing these would be highly desirable
