As a result of continued growth, we are seeking a skilled Electrical Crane Engineer to join our driven, dynamic team, and our wider company - Europa Engineering Group. There are various opportunities for this role to grow into both at the Dales division and across the group into areas such as automotive conveyor. As an Electrical Crane Engineer, you will be responsible for the installation, servicing, and maintenance of electric overhead travelling cranes at our clients sites. This is a hands-on role requiring technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and a commitment to safety.
Key Responsibilities:
Install, commission, and test electric overhead travelling cranes. o Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs to ensure optimal crane performance. o Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical and mechanical faults. o Ensure compliance with health, safety, and industry regulations. o Complete detailed service reports and documentation. o Provide excellent customer service and technical support to clients. o Travel to client sites as required (company vehicle provided).
Requirements:
Proven experience servicing and installing electric overhead travelling cranes.
Strong electrical and mechanical knowledge, with relevant qualifications (e.g., NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds, or equivalent).
Valid UK driving licence (essential).
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Strong commitment to health and safety standards.
Good communication skills and a customer-focused attitude.
Flexibility to work at heights and in various industrial environments.
Able to work away from home as required
Intermittent weekend availability as required
Desirable:
LEEA qualifications or similar certifications.
Experience with fitting and repairing controls systems (radio control, etc).
