Job Title: Electrical Compliance Engineer

Tenure: Full Time, Permanent

Location: Sheffield, Barnsley, Doncaster, Rotherham,

Salary: \xc2\xa365,000 - \xc2\xa390,000 + Bonus (Dependent on experience)

Nicholas Associates are recruiting for an Electrical Compliance Engineer on behalf of a rapidly growing energy solutions company. The team is at the forefront of achievable energy cost saving, some of the biggest companies in the country are acquiring the services of the client.

You will be an integral member of the team as you will provide the specialist knowledge of all legislations and coordinate electrical compliance within inspection, design along with engineering decision making based on compliance and ensure all electrical site drawings as well as all relevant reports and documentation are up to date and accessible/available for new and existing designs.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

You will be the point of contact for all electrical regulation compliance, along with ensuring that all designs are electrically compliant in accordance with current legislation

Ensuring compliance in HV/LV

DSEAR inspections

Protection and preparation coordinating grading studies covering both the HV/LV side of the projects

In depth knowledge of BS7671 18th edition IEE Wiring Regulations

Inspection and Testing, Risk assessments and Work Instructions

Assisting in developing standardised engineering strategies for electrical functional safety

Keep abreast of regulatory developments within or outside of the company as well as evolving best practices in all compliance control

Skills, Experience and Education

Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent min 5 years\xe2\x80\x99 experience as a compliance Engineer

Good Communication skills and an ability to Multitask

Knowledge of engineering design management best practices with the ability to implement this knowledge. Understanding of the requirements of relevant UK Health and Safety legislation relating to design and construction work in the electricity supply industry.

IT literate, with good knowledge of using Microsoft Office applications

Experience of HV or LV Installations

In depth knowledge of BS7671 18TH edition wiring regulations
