Job Description

A trained electrical engineer to work on 3 shifts rotating providing breakdown and maintenance cover on a varied range of machinery and facilities.

Respond immediately to equipment failures during your shift

Use manuals and failure history to conduct accurate fault diagnosis, determine effective solution, repair the fault and record the nature of the fault on Job Sheets

Carry out preventative maintenance tasks as scheduled during the shift to required standard

Conduct machine and facility checks during the shift to identify potential failure or deterioration

Conduct machine observation during the shift, identifying potential safety risks and taking necessary actions to remove the hazard

Conduct risk assessment prior to any maintenance work and ensure conclusions are implemented prior to start of work to remove hazards

Ensure equipment is handed back to production in 100% safe condition

Assist with the closure of safety actions identified via audits, accident / incident investigation or legal compliance

Identify causes of reduction in output per hour or yield losses

Develop and recommend solutions to improve output rate per hour or yield

Assist the Project Team with the integration of change / improvement works

Work in a professional manner, maintaining a high standard of housekeeping

Skills Required



HNC/HND or equivalent in electrical engineering

Worked in a factory environment

Team player - though capable of working on own initiative

Self-motivated, flexible and confident

Ability to read electrical drawings

Good problem solving / organisational skills

Experienced in PLC's and how they function

Experience of a wide range of motors, inverters, servo's and DC drives

Worked with power circuits at 415V AC and control circuits at 24V DC

Carried out PPM

Understanding of pneumatics

Understanding of hydraulics

Worked with compressors, chillers, boilers, heat exchangers and HVAC equipment

Some knowledge of Facilities maintenance

Driven to provide good customer service and good communication at all levels

Capable of managing contractors to ensure excellent quality of work, safely

Desirable



18th edition

Ability to use Microsoft Office to a reasonable standard

Knowledge of Coating / Printing web manufacturing

IPAF, FLT license

General

To co-operate readily, politely and amicably with other company personnel

To undertake any other duties that may be reasonably be requested

To be willing to cover for absence on alternative shifts, should the need arise

Pay: 20.23-22.15 per hour

Expected hours: 38 per week
