We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Electrical Apprentice to join our team. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain real-world experience and nationally recognised qualifications while working on live projects within the water and wastewater industry. You'll be learning from experienced engineers and getting involved in all aspects of electrical installation, controls, telemetry, testing, and maintenance.
Responsibilities
Assist in the installation, testing, and maintenance of industrial electrical systems, including control panels, motors, and instrumentation.
Learn to read and interpret technical drawings, wiring diagrams, and P&IDs.
Work alongside qualified electricians and engineers on water treatment sites across the region.
Support the team with day-to-day site work, including cable management, containment, and fault-finding.
Attend college as part of your apprenticeship programme.
Follow all health, safety, and environmental guidelines on-site.
Maintain tools, equipment, and workspaces in a clean and safe condition.
Requirements
Essential:
A genuine interest in electrical engineering and the water industry.
Grade 4 or above for Maths & English GCSE
Willingness to travel to sites and training locations as required.
Good communication skills and a positive, can-do attitude.
Team player, reliable, and eager to learn.
Been a UK resident for at least 3 years.
Desirable:
Any prior work experience associated with the electrical industry.
Electrical installation level 2 qualifications.
CSCS or ECS card (if already obtained).
Valid UK driving licence or working towards it.
